Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

After a period of silence and confusion for its members, Marriott Bonvoy recently unveiled its first global promotion of the year. The 2026 version of this offer looks slightly different than in years past, but it still offers bonus points and a shortcut to elite status.

This year, guests can earn 2,500 bonus points per stay and 1 bonus Elite Night Credit for each different hotel brand they stay at during the promotional window. Those Elite Night Credits are what you need for moving up the ranks of Marriott’s elite tiers.

Registration for this promotion opened earlier this month, and eligible stays are now live.

How does it work? Let’s take a look.

Marriott’s Bonus Points and Elite Nights Promotion for 2026

Since this promotion works differently than in years past, it’s worth laying out the details clearly:

With this offer from Marriott Bonvoy, guests earn 2,500 bonus points per stay and 1 bonus Elite Night Credit for each different Marriott hotel brand they stay at during the 75-day promotional period.

Until now, Marriott had been oddly silent and wouldn’t confirm whether this promotion was happening at all, leading us to believe the promotion either wasn’t happening or was being pushed back until after spring. Now we see that it’s here, but it looks slightly different than we expected.

In years past, guests earned 1 Elite Night Credit toward Marriott Bonvoy status for each night they stayed during the promotion. This year, you earn 1 night for each different hotel brand you stay at. That means a stay at Courtyard by Marriott would give you 1 night, Ritz-Carlton would give you another, and then a stay at AC Hotels will give you another night.

Additionally, this year’s promotion provides 2,500 bonus points per stay — rather than bonus points every night, like in years past. This is most rewarding for guests who make multiple, short stays between February 25 and May 10, 2026. Only stays after registration count.

Although there’s no limit to the number of points or stays you can make during this offer, you only earn on paid stays with this offer — not stays using points or free night awards. Moreover, you must book directly with Marriott for your stays to count.

Note that stays at Bulgari, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, Grand Residences by Marriott, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, The St. Regis Residence Club, and The Luxury Collection Residence Club aren’t eligible for this offer.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re looking for extra Marriott points or want the benefits of Marriott Bonvoy elite status, you should definitely register for this offer.

The format of this year’s offer rewards guests who make multiple short stays between late February and early May, especially if they do so across different Marriott brands.

For those who don’t plan any paid stays during this period or who will make just a few stays of lengthy periods, the offer doesn’t feel as enticing. However, there’s no harm in registering. And even if you only complete 1 qualifying stay during this promotion — giving you only 1 bonus night and 1 set of points rather than nightly points and nightly credits like last year — it’s still more than you had to begin with. Free points are free points, at the end of the day.

Final Thoughts

After a period of silence, Marriott Bonvoy has finally revealed its global promotion for 2026. It looks a bit different than past years’ offers, but you can still earn bonus elite nights and bonus points on qualifying stays this spring.

From February 25 to May 10, you can earn 2,500 bonus points and 1 Elite Night Credit on qualifying stays, and registration is now open.
