Here at Upgraded Points, we are always looking for ways to boost our points balance. If you are the same way, you are probably intrigued by the prospect of earning up to 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points in 90 minutes from home.

Although there is no monetary cost, having to sit through a timeshare presentation may be painful for some. If you can handle the sales pressure and are good at saying “no,” this could be a great deal.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Marriott Vacation Club Offer

Marriott Vacation Club currently has a special offer of up to 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for participating in a 90-minute virtual program overview and sales presentation.

This offer is valid for U.S. residents, excluding those who live in Delaware and Maine.

The amount of points you receive will depend on your living situation, as only people married, engaged, or living together are eligible for the full 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. Both parties will be required to participate in the program overview.

Other offer details include:

  • Offer expires December 31, 2024
  • Singles requesting premier time slots will receive 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
  • Singles in other time slots will receive 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
  • Couples requesting premier time slots will receive 15,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
  • Couples in other time slots will receive 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points
  • A tablet or desktop computer with internet access and audio and video activation at the time of the appointment is required to participate in the overview and to receive Marriott Bonvoy Points
  • Points will be deposited approximately 4-6 weeks after completion of the presentation

We value Marriott Bonvoy points at 0.7 cents a piece, so this offer could be worth up to $140.

Hot Tip:

Always ask for extra points. Upgraded Points writers have received up to 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for similar presentations.

Timeshare Presentation Tips

Many people find sitting through a timeshare presentation uncomfortable, especially if it is their first time. But if done properly, it can be a great way to score a cheap vacation and even some bonus points.

A virtual presentation could be a good opportunity to dip your toes in the water because you won’t be saying “no” to a high-pressure salesperson right in front of you — if that’s an issue for you.

Here are some tips to help you get through a timeshare presentation:

  • Read the fine print and know exactly what you are owed in exchange for your time.
  • Set a timer and let the salesperson know when their 90 minutes are up.
  • Be firm and polite, and make it clear you are there for the points. That will save everyone time.
  • Remember, timeshares are almost never a good investment, regardless of how good the pitch may seem.

Final Thoughts

Marriott Vacation Club is offering up to 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for attending a virtual timeshare presentation. If you’re comfortable doing so, you could also ask for more points when booking your appointment.

This could be an easy way to add some bonus points to your balance, but it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth your time.
