Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available. Plus, as of December 12, 2025, the Mesa Homeowners Card has been discontinued.

The Mesa Homeowners Card launched in 2024 for an underserved market: earning points on homeowners’ expenses. Along with earning points on mortgages, cardholders can earn points on home improvements, childcare, gas, and more.

Previously, new Mesa Card applicants could earn a 50,000-point welcome bonus. Now, you can earn up to 60,000 points through 2 referral-linked options: refer 2 friends to unlock 50,000 points after spending $10,000 plus 5,000 points per referral, or just claim the 50,000-point bonus after 2 successful referrals.

We don’t know when or if this unique offer will end soon, so if you’re interested, it could be worth looking sooner rather than later. Here are the details.

What Is the Mesa Homeowners Card?

The Mesa card launched in 2024 with the idea that people should earn points on mortgage payments, home upgrades, and everyday spending. After all, housing expenses make up a majority of monthly expenses for most people in the U.S.

Additionally, earlier this year, the card added a Lowe’s credit and additional bonus categories for earning points. Now, the Mesa card offers the following perks:

  • 1 point per $1 spent on monthly mortgage payments, up to 100,000 points annually
  • 2 points per $1 spent on groceries, gas, EV charging, and grocery delivery services
  • 3 points per $1 spent on home and family expenses like home improvements, cable and streaming services, property taxes, decorations, maintenance, and childcare
  • No annual fee
  • More than $800 in annual statement credits available with merchants like Lowe’s, The Farmer’s Dog, Thumbtack, Armadillo, Cozy Earth, and Wag!
  • Up to $65 in annual credits to reimburse your membership fee for big box stores

Do note that you only earn points on mortgage payments if you have $1,000 or more in qualifying purchases with your Mesa card during that same statement period. Furthermore, the grocery category does not include Amazon, Target, Walmart, or wholesale clubs.

For context, we ranked this card’s launch among the 10 most noteworthy credit card developments in 2024. But it has continued to improve.

Earlier in 2025, Mesa launched points transfers to the following programs:

You must transfer points in increments of 1,000.

Hot Tip:

Accor is the only hotel program among Mesa’s transfer partners right now, while the other partners are airline rewards programs. However, this list of transfer partners should continue to grow in the future.

New Mesa Card Welcome Offer — Earn Up to 60,000 Points With Referrals

Mesa has revamped its welcome bonus with a unique referral twist. New applicants now have 2 ways to earn points — including the chance to unlock up to 60,000 bonus points.

  • Refer 2 friends, spend $10,000 in 90 days, and earn up to 60,000 points—50,000 from the bonus plus 5,000 per referral.
  • Refer 2 friends and spend $10,000 in 90 days to earn 50,000 points—no extra points from referrals.

This setup makes the Mesa bonus unique and potentially lucrative. While spending $10,000 in 3 months is high, there are many ways to meet the minimum spending requirement by stacking everyday expenses with referral rewards for a worthwhile payoff. Application details are available here.

Final Thoughts

The Mesa card now offers its largest-ever welcome bonus, giving new applicants the chance to earn up to 60,000 points through its referral-based structure. Whether you go for the full 60K by referring 2 friends and meeting the $10,000 minimum spend requirement or just claim the 50,000-point bonus after 2 referrals, this is a rare opportunity to earn significant rewards on everyday homeowner expenses.

For homeowners, earning points on monthly expenses without paying extra fees is an attractive option. Adding up to 60,000 bonus points to the mix is worth considering, as we don’t know how long this offer will last.
