Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party brings nighttime shows, rare character appearances, themed food, and trick-or-treating to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom — many experiences you can’t find during normal park hours. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs on certain nights from August 7 to October 31, 2026. This separately ticketed event is not included with Magic Kingdom admission.

Guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress up in Halloween costumes. This is one of the few occasions when Disney relaxes its park dress guidelines to allow costumes for older kids and adults.

Highlights of the party include trick-or-treat stations, entertainment, and a dozen special character meet-and-greets. Guests can purchase party-exclusive food items and merchandise.

Magic Kingdom restaurants roll out party menus with Halloween-themed drinks, desserts, and snacks.

Guests can catch numerous shows throughout the party, including Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular at Cinderella’s Castle.

Just the major shows — the castle show, fireworks, and parade — can fill up much of your party time. But there are also rare character meet-and-greets, such as Jack Skellington and Sally, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and Captain Jack Sparrow.

The Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular features the Sanderson Sisters with cameos from other Disney villains.

Cast members hand out treats such as Snickers, Twix, and Skittles at trick-or-treat stations in every land of the Magic Kingdom. Guests receive a trick-or-treat bag upon arrival and can request a teal-colored bag for allergy-friendly treats. Cast members tend to be generous with candy scoops, and just a handful of stops may be enough to fill a treat bag.

Every land has entertainment, from Captain Jack’s Buccaneer Bash in Adventureland to the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet in Frontierland and the Descendants dance party that takes over Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. Surprise appearances can happen, too: you might see the Hitchhiking Ghosts on stage at the Diamond Horseshoe treat trail, or discover Maleficent and the Evil Queen in the Princess Fairytale Hall.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates for 2026

The party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, but guests can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. (or earlier with valid day admission).

Party dates for 2026 include:

• August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30
• September 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, and 29
• October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, and 31

Ticket prices range from $119 to $229 plus tax per ticket. Annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can get $10 off each ticket through October 2.

Tickets are limited, and party dates often sell out. Limited tickets from cancellations may be available in the days leading up to the party or on the day of. Event tickets are available on the Disney World website or by phone with the Disney Reservation Center at 407-934-7639.

Is Mickey’s Not-So Scary Halloween Party Worth It?

Tickets cost up to $229 per person, but it can be worth it for a spooky night in the Magic Kingdom. Party-exclusive dining, experiences, and merchandise fill the night with experiences you can’t get anywhere else.

Compared to a Magic Kingdom day ticket ($139 to $209), the party ticket ($119 to $229) isn’t much more — or maybe less. Since a party ticket gets you into the Magic Kingdom from 4 p.m. to midnight, it could replace a Magic Kingdom park day with Disney Halloween fun that’s only available after dark.
