Here’s what you need to know about the opening.
Ennismore (formerly sbe) has announced that the first Mondrian hotel in France, Mondrian Cannes, would open in March 2023 in the former Grand Hotel Cannes.
The 11-story, 75-room hotel will feature 3 suites. Not much is known about the property just yet, but Ennismore says the hotel will boast meeting and event space, direct access to a nearby shopping district, and a private beach dubbed Hyde Beach Cannes.
Chadi Farhat, the Brand Chief Operating Officer, Mondrian at Ennismore, said Mondrian Cannes is expected to become the “cultural epicenter of artistic design” in the French Riveria.
“The hotel’s iconic history, combined with modern-day elegance and artistry, will offer the ideal seaside retreat for guests seeking the very best of the Côte-d’Azur,” Farhat said in a statement.
Reservations for spring 2023 are now available, and you can book directly through the hotel.
Rates at the property (for March 2023 dates) start at $217 per night for a junior suite with views of Cannes and range up to $825 for a signature suite with a sea-facing terrace.
Ennismore is an international collection of hotel brands, restaurants, bars, and lounges with a presence in significant nightlife hubs across the planet.
Its portfolio includes hotel brands such as SLS Hotels & Residences, Mondrian, Delano, The Redbury, Hyde Hotels & Residences, and more. They are generally known for offering dining, nightlife, and hospitality services that are second to none. Mondrian doesn’t have the most prominent presence, but you can find properties in Doha, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, New York, and Seoul.
Aside from Mondrian Cannes, another hotel is coming to France — Mondrian Bordeaux. Other hotels in the pipeline include Mondrian Gold Coast in Australia and Mondrian Singapore Duxton.

Mondrian Cannes is expected to open for guests in the spring of 2023. This is excellent news for travelers who want to visit the region to check out the fantastic beaches or the Cannes Film Festival, which takes place in May. Even better: rates at the property are pretty decent, starting at just $220 per night, which is even more incentive to book a stay!
