The W South Beach, a luxury Marriott property in Miami Beach, has inked a deal with an electric vehicle company to roll out the cars for hotel guests.
Here’s what you need to know!
Tesla Model 3 Now Available at W South Beach
Marriott has entered into an agreement with a Los Angeles electric vehicle platform, EV Mobility. The deal will deploy Tesla Model 3s at the W South Beach, and the company anticipates rolling out electric vehicles at Marriott properties across the U.S. in the future. EV Mobility says it offers electric vehicles as an amenity for luxury hotels, multi-family apartments, and commercial buildings.
For now, guests at the W South Beach may request a Tesla through the EV Mobility app, which is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play store. This will send a message to the valet, who will bring the vehicle to the hotel’s front entrance.
Guests can book an electric vehicle by the hour or for the day. It’s unclear how many cars EV Mobility plans to install at the W South Beach, but a promotional photo shows 2 Tesla vehicles outside the hotel.
“W South Beach is known for our stand-out hotel experiences and service,” said Rick Ueno, W South Beach’s general manager said, in a statement. “Adding Tesla’s through EV Mobility to our amenities adds even more value to our guest experience and supports our efforts in more conscious green practices.”
The W South Beach reopened last year after a whopping $30 million renovation, which saw updates to guest suites, the installation of a new spa, and a refreshed art collection. However, such luxury comes at a price, and the W South Beach isn’t cheap.
Marriott Bonvoy has a massive presence in South Florida, and the W ranks as 1 of the most expensive. Cash rates for a 1-night stay can cost as much as $1,100. And you’ll also fork over some serious Marriott Bonvoy points for award stays, as 1-night stays in November range from as low as 84,000 Bonvoy points and as high as 120,000 points for a suite.

Final Thoughts
This is pretty exciting news for fans of electric vehicles or newbies who haven’t driven one yet. The W South Beach is already a swanky hotel, so pulling up or driving away in a Tesla will be a popular amenity for guests!
