Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

A new limited-time Chase Offer is available for up to 10% cash-back on a Southwest Airlines purchase with a maximum savings of up to $40. There are usually a few versions of this targeted offer floating around, so be sure to check all your Chase cards to see if you’ve been targeted and what version of the offer you received.

Here are all of the details on this new Chase Offer for Southwest Airlines purchases.

Save up to 10% on a Southwest Airlines Purchase

There’s a new Chase Offer available to select Chase cardholders offering up to 10% cash-back on Southwest Airlines purchases, with a maximum savings of $40. The offer expires on November 15, 2024.

This discount is valid 1 time only on purchases of $50 or more made directly with Southwest Airlines. The discount does not apply to Southwest Vacations purchases, purchases of Southwest points, inflight purchases, or fees. Thus, this offer will be most useful when purchasing airfare for your next trip.

You’ll earn 10% back on flights if you complete your purchase by November 15.

This offer is targeted and can vary, so check your offer’s specific terms. Be sure to add the offer to your card before making your purchase. If you do that, you can receive a statement credit for up to $40 in cash-back after using the offer.

Is This a Good Deal?

If you happen to have a Southwest purchase coming up and this Chase Offer is on one of your cards, it can definitely be a good deal — especially if your offer is on a card that earns multiple points on travel purchases.

Cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card earn 3x points on any travel purchases (up to $150,000 spent annually in bonus categories with the Ink Business Preferred card, then 1x), and Southwest Airlines co-branded cards earn 2x to 4x points on Southwest Airlines purchases. And since all Southwest fares include 2 complimentary checked bags, you won’t need to pay for those while earning points on your ticket purchase.

Final Thoughts

There’s a new Chase Offer for up to 10% cash-back on Southwest Airlines purchases with a maximum savings of $40.

Since all Chase Offers are targeted, the details of your particular offer can vary. Be sure to check all of your Chase credit cards to see what version of the offer you may have received, if any. Remember to add the offer to your card first and make your payment with that same card; if you don’t, you won’t receive the statement credit.
