Peacock is raising its prices … again.

If you have a credit card that comes with credits for digital entertainment, this change is worth paying attention to.

With popular TV shows, movies, live sports, and events, Peacock is a popular streaming service for good reason. But nobody wants to extra for something they were already using.

Let’s take a look at the changes and how some savvy cardholders can get it for free.

Peacock Price Increase

As of August 18, 2026, Peacock has raised prices on all of its standalone monthly and annual plans by up to 17%.

New and returning subscribers will see the new rates immediately, while current subscribers will see the updated rates on their next billing due date.

The updated prices are now:

  • Peacock Select
    • $8.99 per month (was $7.99)
    • $89.99 per year (was $79.99)
  • Peacock Premium (with ads)
    • $12.99 per month (was $10.99)
    • $129.99 per year (was $109.99)
  • Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free)
    • $19.99 per month (was $16.99)
    • $199.99 per year (was $169.99)

For users on promotional pricing, the increase will take effect once the promotional period ends. Switching plans before then may forfeit any discounts.

You can still bundle Peacock with Apple+, which would bring the overall cost down, but that might not be your best option.

Walmart+ Workaround

If you have the Platinum Card® from American Express in your wallet, good news: This price increase likely won’t impact you.

The Amex Platinum card comes with up to $300 in digital entertainment credits each year. Card members can get up to $25 per month on eligible services, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Peacock, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Paramount+, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV. Enrollment is required.

While this credit would cover a monthly Peacock subscription, there is a better way.

The Amex Platinum card also comes with a Walmart+ subscription credit, and that includes a Video Streaming Choice benefit. Members can select either Paramount+ Essential or Peacock Premium as their benefit, essentially freeing up the Amex Platinum digital entertainment credit for other services.

The Walmart+ benefit covers the monthly cost of $12.95 plus applicable taxes when charged to your card; note that these plans are subject to auto-renewal.

Hot Tip:

If you dont have an Amex Platinum card and want to lower your Peacock cost, some readers have reported receiving discounts when attempting to cancel their subscription. Some offers are as low as $2.99 per month.

Final Thoughts

Peacock is once again increasing the cost of its mnthly and annual plans.

While the increase will still be covered by the Amex Platinum card’s digital entertainment credits, we suggest grabbing a Walmart+ subscription and using your credit for other services to stretch your benefits even further.
