Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel is the new name of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort. The reimagined hotel has been open to guests during the remodel and is slowly introducing the new elements of the eagerly anticipated revamp.

Now the new hotel has an opening date: January 30, 2024. Here’s what you can expect at the Pixar Hotel at Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland’s Pixar-Themed Hotel

Fans of Pixar films will be delighted at the Pixar-themed design elements throughout the hotel. Guests will first be greeted by the iconic lamp bouncing on its ball in the lobby along with an installation of Pixar characters on the ceiling. Visitors are meant to walk through the stages of creating Pixar’s beloved characters starting from their basic shapes and colors.

Throughout the hotel, guests will also see sketches from early Pixar works as well as some never-before-seen artwork.

The design concept continues into the guestrooms with lighting resembling the Pixar Lamp and art created by Pixar Animation Studios artists. Headboards will feature concept art from films such as Toy Story 3 and The Incredibles.

Disney’s Paradise Pier has remained open during the remodel and, as such, some amenities have become available to guests.

Amenities Available Now

Even though the hotel itself won’t welcome guests until the end of January, there are a few amenities that are available right now.

The hotel’s new Finding Nemo-themed splash pad and pool area have recently opened to guests of the current Paradise Pier Hotel. The area features a 186-foot water slide and a pool bar which will open later this fall. Fire pits inspired by Pixar characters like Jack-Jack from The Incredibles can be enjoyed near the pool as well.

STOR-E, the hotel’s new gift shop, and a new, expanded fitness center are also now open.

Great Maple restaurant is scheduled to open in November and will serve upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items will include Buttermilk Friend Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, and Charred Cauliflower Hummus.

Bottom Line:

Disneyland Resort’s newest accommodation option, Pixar Place Hotel, which will open in the place of the current Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, is scheduled to open on January 30, 2024.

Final Thoughts

Disneyland has been completing many much-needed updates and it’s great to see these updates include resort hotels. Pixar is a major component of the Disney brand, so a Pixar-themed hotel is appropriate, timely, and sure to offer a fun place to stay during a Disneyland vacation.
