Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel is the new name of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort — and it has officially opened as of January 30, 2024.

The reimagined hotel is the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States and features contemporary guest rooms, new dining options, a rooftop pool, great Pixar theming, and more!

Let’s take a look at the 15-story hotel that overlooks Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim.

Disneyland’s Pixar Place Hotel

Disneyland will see some big changes over the coming years, and Pixar Place is a great sign of many things to come.

“We are looking to turbocharge expansion at Disneyland Resort over the coming years, and the transformation of Pixar Place Hotel is a demonstration of how we’re creating high-quality guest experiences infused with our most popular stories,” said Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock.

Fans of Pixar films will be delighted to see the Pixar-themed design elements throughout the hotel.

Guests will first be greeted by the iconic lamp bouncing on its ball in the lobby along with an installation of Pixar characters on the ceiling and the sounds of Joe Gardner from “Soul” playing his piano.

Visitors are meant to walk through the stages of creating Pixar’s beloved characters starting from their basic shapes and colors.

Throughout the hotel, guests will also see sketches from early Pixar works as well as some never-before-seen artwork.

The design concept continues into the guest rooms with lighting resembling the Pixar Lamp and art created by Pixar Animation Studios artists.

Headboards will feature concept art from films such as Toy Story, Coco, Finding Nemo, and more.

Creative touches can be found throughout the hotel, even down to the firepits featuring hot-headed characters like Anger from “Inside Out.”

Reimagined Amenities

The hotel’s new Finding Nemo-themed splash pad and pool area features a 186-foot “Crush’s Surfin’ Slide” water slide and a pool bar.

STOR-E, the hotel’s new gift shop, and a new, expanded fitness center are also now open.

Menu items include buttermilk fried chicken & maple bacon doughnuts, cajun shrimp & cheddar biscuit benedict, and charred Cauliflower Hummus.

Final Thoughts

Disneyland has long needed to update its resort hotels, and it’s fun to see Pixar Place in its final form.

Pixar is a major component of the Disney brand, so a Pixar-themed hotel is appropriate, timely, and sure to offer a fun place to stay during a Disneyland vacation — especially if you run into Bing Bong during your stay!
