Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is getting a major boost to its lounge lineup. Plaza Premium Group has announced plans to open 2 brand-new lounges in Terminal D — Plaza Premium First and a new Plaza Premium Lounge — slated to debut in early 2026.

Here’s what you need to know.

Plaza Premium Expands With 2 New Lounges in DFW’s Terminal D

Plaza Premium Group is growing its footprint at Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), bringing 2 additional lounges to the airport’s busy Terminal D to complement the existing Plaza Premium location in Terminal E. The good news is that many Plaza Premium lounges can typically be accessed through travel rewards cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and the Platinum Card® from American Express since Plaza Premium lounges are accessible through a Priority Pass membership.

This means travelers will have more lounge options when flying out from DFW.

And while exact access details and specific location within the terminal haven’t been announced yet, Upgraded Points reached out to a spokesperson for Plaza Premium Group, who said the company isn’t able to share additional information at this time, noting, “Unfortunately, we can only share more information by next year.”

What we do know, however, is that these new lounges — Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge — will complement the company’s existing presence at DFW, which includes its Terminal E lounge (opened in 2020) and ALLWAYS Meet & Assist services across all terminals.

Importantly for travelers, Terminal D is already one of the most lounge-rich areas of the airport, home to both the Capital One Lounge and the American Express Centurion Lounge. Once Plaza Premium’s 2 spaces open, Terminal D will have even more options for passengers looking to relax before an international or domestic flight.

Here’s a brief outlook of what travelers can expect from the upcoming additions.

Plaza Premium Lounge

The standard Plaza Premium Lounge will provide a comfortable space with seating, refreshments, high-speed Wi-Fi, charging stations, and a design that incorporates Dallas–Fort Worth elements. It’s intended as an accessible option for a broad range of travelers.

Plaza Premium First

The First lounge will be the more upscale option, offering elevated dining, more privacy, personalized service, and expanded amenities aimed at travelers seeking a higher-end experience.

Hot Tip:

A Priority Pass membership is relatively easy to obtain through credit cards issued by card companies such as American Express, Chase, Citi, and Capital One.

Final Thoughts

Plaza Premium’s expansion into Terminal D at DFW is good news for travelers who want more lounge choices at one of the country’s busiest airports. While exact locations, amenities, and entry rules haven’t been revealed yet, the addition of both a premium “First” lounge and a standard Plaza Premium Lounge sets the stage for an upgraded passenger experience when these spaces open in early 2026.
