Planning a World Cup trip can quickly become complicated. Beyond high airfares and tightening award availability, getting match tickets is often the hardest part of all.

A new tool from point.me is aiming to make that process a bit easier — especially if you’re planning to rely on points and miles to get there.

Here’s what you need to know.

A Closer Look at Point.me’s New World Cup Tool for Flights and Tickets

Point.me has introduced a dedicated World Cup travel hub that brings flight searches, points comparisons, and ticket access into one place. You can check it out at worldcup.point.me.

After creating a free account, you can search for award flights tied to specific matches, host cities, or even the teams you want to see. You’ll also be able to compare cash prices to points rates, which can be especially useful as airfare rises around major events like the World Cup.

On the ticket side, point.me has partnered with FrequentFan to let users join a priority waitlist for match tickets, including inventory that hasn’t been released to the general public yet.

Options range from standard seats to more premium experiences like suites and lounge access, with some packages starting around $300. There’s also a separate waitlist for fan experiences hosted by MLS players, which could add another layer to your trip if you’re looking for more than just match access.

While that doesn’t guarantee access, having a head start could make a difference given how quickly tickets tend to sell out for certain matches.

From a points-and-miles perspective, this type of tool can be especially useful. Events like the World Cup typically drive up airfare, which is where redeeming points can help offset those higher costs.

Hot Tip:

If you’re even thinking about attending the World Cup, you’ll want to act quickly and finalize your travel plans. Award space and prices will only get tighter as demand ramps up, so it’s worth locking things in early. Check out our guide on securing World Cup 2026 travel with points and miles to get a head start.

Final Thoughts

This new tool from Point.me won’t take all the stress out of planning a World Cup trip, but it does make things a bit convenient in one place. If you’re considering going — especially using points and miles — it’s a helpful tool to keep on your radar.
