Porter’s New Routes From California to Montréal

Summer often brings with it some fun new routes such as Porter’s new services from California to Montréal.

The announcement of new services comes just 2 months after Porter arrived in California for the first time when it launched nonstop service from its home base of Toronto (YYZ).

Service from Montréal to LA will start on June 27, 2024, and operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the return leg from Los Angeles leaving early the following morning.

  • Depart Montréal (YUL) 7:40 p.m. — Arrive Los Angeles (LAX) 10:36 p.m.
  • Depart Los Angeles (LAX) 6:15 a.m. — Arrive Montréal (YUL) 2:40 p.m.

On June 28, 2024, Porter will kick start its new Montréal to San Francisco service, which will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This flight will also return to Montréal the following morning.

  • Depart Montréal (YUL) 8 p.m. — Arrive San Francisco (SFO) 11:12 p.m.
  • Depart San Francisco (SFO) 6:15 a.m. — Arrive Montréal (YUL) 2:40 p.m.

These 2 new seasonal services will provide more travel possibilities for those living in California this summer and will be the only U.S. cities that the airline services from Montréal (for now). These routes go head-to-head with Air Canada’s nonstop flights.

“Porter offers San Francisco Bay Area travellers an exciting new way to Canada that reflects our own commitment to creating an exceptional air travel experience,” said Ivar Satero, airport director at San Francisco International.

Porter will deploy its fuel-efficient Embraer E195-E2 aircraft on the routes.

“Passengers will now have more options to travel between Southern California and Eastern Canada and can do so more sustainably on next-generation aircraft, said Michael Christensen, chief operations and maintenance officer at Los Angeles World Airports.

Bottom Line:

Never flown Porter Airlines before? Porter is a full-service Canadian airline based out of Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) and is gradually growing its number of routes to the U.S.

Final Thoughts

Porter Airlines’s new routes from Montréal to California bring exciting new travel opportunities for a getaway this summer. Here’s to the airline’s continued growth and cross-border network expansion.
