The Argentine capital has a new Marriott property thanks to the opening of the Recoleta Grand, Buenos Aires, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

“The opening of Recoleta Grand marks an exciting chapter for Tribute Portfolio as we continue to expand into Argentina,” said Brian King, president, Marriott International, Caribbean and Latin America. “This property captures the essence of what makes the brand so compelling – distinctive design, vibrant spaces, and an authentic connection to place.”

Here’s what you need to know about this exciting new option for Marriott loyalists.

Buenos Aires Gets a New Marriott Hotel

The opening of the Recoleta Grand, Buenos Aires, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, marks the brand’s debut in the South American city.

Located in the posh Recoleta neighborhood, known for its European — specifically French — influence, the new hotel offers 142 guest rooms and 6 suites designed by Buenos Aires local Lucas Gashu to reflect the city’s unique “porteño” culture and French look.

Buenos Aires is crazy about literature, and the hotel reflects that. Bilingual books are in every guest room, and “curated vintage collections” are found in public spaces throughout the property.

Dining is also a focus at the Recoleta Grand. Overseen by Chef Maximiliano Matsumoto, the hotel offers 3 dining outposts. Café de Prensa is a spot to grab a specialty coffee, The Atrium is an all-day option that focuses on serving local flavors, and Mansión Mihura incorporates several other spaces to offer “bold, author-driven cuisine in immersive spaces inspired by Latin American literature.”

The cocktail program is led by Ignacio Maggio, a well-known Argentine mixologist who has worked at notable bars across the region.

The hotel also boasts plentiful meeting space, a rooftop terrace and pool, a fully equipped fitness center, the Floralis Spa, and an executive lounge.
