Sanctuary Cap Cana is a new adults-only luxury all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. As the newest addition to Marriott’s The Luxury Collection, this Mediterranean-inspired resort aims to immerse guests in high-end luxury while providing top-notch service.

Here are all the details on this new ultra-luxury resort.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Is Now Open

The Dominican Republic has a new luxury all-inclusive resort, and it’s full of amenities and over-the-top accommodations. Located in the exclusive Cap Cana area, about 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort, Dominican Republic is a convenient escape from daily life.

“Cap Cana is one of Dominican Republic’s most coveted areas offering an inspiring getaway for our global explorers with a stretch of white sanded beaches, turquoise waters, and architecture resembling a storied colonial Spanish era,” said Brian King, President, Caribbean & Latin America for Marriott International.

Mediterranean and Spanish influences are evident in the 324-suite property’s architecture, most notably in the Sanctuary Cap Cana Castle Island Suite, a 5,500 square foot, multi-level private island suite that includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 3 indoor plunge pools.

This resort boasts 11 bars and restaurants, 6 swimming pools (including 1 with a swim-up bar), a fully-equipped fitness center, complimentary fitness classes, and a full-service spa. Additionally, one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean, Punta Espada Golf Club, is located nearby.

How To Book Your Stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana

This exclusive resort features 324 suites across 19 different room categories. Since this is an all-inclusive property, prices are per person, not per room.

The most basic accommodation, a Junior Suite (which is anything but basic), goes for $500 to $700 per night for 2 people. You can also book rooms using Marriott Bonvoy points for 120,000 points per night.

Unfortunately, that’s a really high cost using points, so you won’t get great value using them this way. Paying for a $700 room with 120,000 points give you a value of 0.58 cents, which is less than the 0.7 cents value we assign to Marriott Bonvoy points.

However, all hope is not lost. When you book 5 nights using Marriott Bonvoy points, your fifth night is free. If you book 5 nights when the room rate is about $700, that works out to 0.7 cents per point in value. It’s not the most value you can get from your Marriott Bonvoy points, but it’s definitely solid and is a great way to get access to this super high-end resort.
