Shop Your Way has confirmed that its co-branded credit card will relaunch in mid-November under a new issuer — no longer with Citi — and with an entirely new rewards structure designed to better match how people spend today.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s changing, what’s staying, and details on the new Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa® Credit Card.

What To Know About the New Shop Your Way 5321 Visa Card

Big changes are coming for Shop Your Way cardholders: The program is switching issuers and introducing a streamlined 5-3-2-1 rewards model based on everyday spending.

The upcoming relaunch of the Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa card marks a new chapter for the program, as First Bank & Trust takes over as the new issuing bank. The refreshed card introduces a completely rebuilt rewards structure tailored to everyday spending. For the first time, it’s moving away from Citi’s longtime partnership with Shop Your Way.

Previously, the Shop Your Way Mastercard was issued by Citi and offered points on purchases made through the Shop Your Way platform, a rewards program linked initially to Sears and Kmart. As those retailers declined, the program broadened its scope to include a more diverse range of merchants and travel partners.

Citi has already notified cardholders that its relationship with Shop Your Way is ending, and some existing cardholders are being transitioned to a Citi ThankYou® Mastercard® instead. However, Shop Your Way has made it clear that the Shop Your Way rewards program itself isn’t going away. It’s simply moving to a new issuing partner and relaunching as the Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa card.

Here’s the new card’s tiered rewards structure:

  • 5% back in Shop Your Way Points on gas, EV charging, and everyday transportation, including public transit, rideshare, taxis, parking, tolls, and car washes.
  • 3% back on dining, groceries, and travel.
  • 2% back across the expanding Shop Your Way merchant network.
  • 1% back on all other purchases wherever Visa is accepted.

In addition to these generous everyday spending bonus categories, cardholders gain access to the Shop Your Way platform, featuring ongoing promotions and partnerships that allow members to earn and redeem points for everything from shopping to travel.

Applications for the new Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa card are expected to open in mid-November at ShopYourWay.com and through the Shop Your Way® mobile app.

Hot Tip:

If you had the old Citi Shop Your Way® Mastercard®, you won’t be switched over automatically. Since the new Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa card is issued by Concora Credit Inc., you’ll need to apply for it if you want in on the revamped 5-3-2-1 rewards program.

Final Thoughts

The Shop Your Way® 5321 Visa card marks a new phase for the program, now separate from Citi and focused on a broader range of everyday spending. It offers up to 5% back in points across popular everyday categories, including gas, public transit, rideshare services, and tolls.

Existing Citi Shop Your Way cardholders won’t be automatically switched over. If you want the new version of this card, you’ll need to apply for it separately.
