The world’s largest beachfront waterpark will open at The Showboat Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 30, 2023. The year-round waterpark promises to have something for everyone — and a lot more than just water slides.

Here’s a look at everything you should know about Island Waterpark.

Island Waterpark at The Showboat Resort

Island Waterpark will span 120,000 square feet and feature 19 water slides. The park will also be home to the Wild Wave FlowRider surf simulator, and it will become the state’s only surf simulator to offer lessons.

Other attractions include a man-made waterfall, a 30-foot-tall tree house for private events, and a lazy river. Each area of the park has been designed around different island themes.

The park will have special areas for visitors of all ages. For example, there will be an interactive play area called the Kid’s Cove, and 5 of the park’s waterslides will be for its youngest visitors.

For adults, there are 6 bars throughout Island Waterpark. Paradise Adult Island inside the park includes a DJ, an adults-only pool, and the only swim-up bar in Atlantic City. This area will also feature Peloton bikes, chair massages, and cabanas.

Other unique attractions include a 1,000-foot zero-gravity roller coaster and a 300-foot zip line.

The retractable glass roof ensures the waterpark can be enjoyed year-round. Summer rates start at $89 for daytime general admission. All-Access VIP admission includes access to Paradise Adult Island and starts at $119.

Bottom Line:

Island Waterpark at The Showboat Resort will be the world’s largest indoor beachfront waterpark. The park will feature one-of-a-kind attractions such as the largest waterpark roller coaster and zip line, and Atlantic City’s first swim-up bar.

The Showboat Resort

The Showboat Hotel is already home to the world’s largest arcade which features over 600 games. The opening of the Island Waterpark marks the hotel’s transformation into the Showboat Resort. The resort will include rollerblading, mini golf, and a climbing wall.

The hotel is also undergoing a renovation to its interiors and guest rooms which is scheduled to be completed this fall.

Guests of the Showboat Hotel receive morning access to Island Waterpark an hour before the park opens.

Final Thoughts

Island Waterpark at The Showboat Resort will open on June 30, 2023, as the world’s largest indoor beachfront waterpark. Located in Atlantic City, the park will also feature lots of amazing attractions including the first swim-up bar in Atlantic City, a zero-gravity roller coaster, and so much more. The new waterpark will feature a retractable glass roof that allows for the park to be enjoyed year-round.
