If you’re of a certain age, you might be familiar with Cristal champagne as the go-to drink for hip-hop superstars, athletes, and actors.

But it’s getting a new designation. Singapore Airlines will become the only airline to serve Cristal 2015 champagne. Here’s what you need to know.

Cristal Champagne Coming to Singapore Suites and First Class

Singapore Airlines announced on November 14 that it would serve Cristal 2015 — retailed at $300 per bottle — for Suites and First Class guests beginning on December 1, 2024. This comes after an agreement with the French champagne house Louis Roederer.

The product will be available for A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER first-class passengers. It will initially be offered on routes between Singapore (SIN) and Hong Kong (HKG), London (LHR), and Los Angeles (LAX). The airline says the champagne will roll out to other cities on a 3-month rotational basis.

“This is a timeless champagne of supreme balance and measure, resonating with the chalkiness of its soils, bursting forth in a bracing, vertical effervescence, with an insistent, precise, and finely honed freshness. We are really delighted that our iconic Cristal champagne has been chosen to be served on board Singapore Airlines.”

Booking Singapore Suites and First Class With Points and Miles

Singapore offers 3 distinct first-class offerings: the new A380 Suite, the old A380 Suite, and first class on the Boeing 777.

However, the new A380 Suites is one of the best ways to fly. That’s thanks to Singapore’s fantastic onboard product and ground service.

Luckily, booking a Suites ticket is extremely easy. However, you can only book Suites and first class directly through the KrisFlyer program. If you’re flying to or from the U.S., the only way to fly Suites is between New York (JFK) to Singapore (SIN) with a connection through Frankfurt (FRA)

A one-way ticket on this route will cost nearly 150,000 KrisFlyer miles for a Saver ticket.

There’s a cheaper way to experience Suites, though. That comes through booking Singapore’s fifth-freedom route between New York and Frankfurt. A ticket on this flight starts at 97,000 miles one-way for a Saver ticket.

Hot Tip:

KrisFlyer miles are incredibly easy to earn. KrisFlyer is a 1:1 transfer partner of KrisFlyer miles of American Express Membership RewardsBrex RewardsCapital One milesChase Ultimate Rewards, and Citi ThankYou Rewards

Final Thoughts

Singapore Airlines is boosting its already-fantastic onboard product with a new champagne offering, Cristal 2015. It’s even more interesting because Singapore will be the only airline pouring the champagne for its guests, giving travelers even more luxury choices during their trip.
