The ultra-luxe Six Senses brand has announced a new resort in the Colorado Rockies.

Let’s dive right into this news!

Six Senses Telluride Expected To Open in 2028

When it opens in 2028, Six Senses Telluride will be the brand’s third hotel in the U.S. It will feature 77 rooms and suites (including family rooms), all designed in warm, light colors to match the area’s natural beauty. It will also have 24 branded residences with between 2 and 5 bedrooms, some featuring a den.

Guests and residents can look forward to various amenities, including a gym, movie theater, and game room. Given its location in a bustling ski town, it’s only natural that the Six Senses Telluride provides ski concierge services. This service will ensure that both guests and residents can hit the slopes bright and early without the hassle of handling their skis or boots.

The resort will also feature several places to eat and drink, such as a specialty restaurant, Omakase dining, which will be the only rooftop spot in Telluride with a pool and a speakeasy bar. There will also be shops, a market hall, and a conference space that both guests and locals can use.

Six Senses Telluride will be IHG’s first luxury resort in North America’s Mountain West region.

About Six Senses

Six Senses is one of the most luxurious hotel chains in the world. Properties are located in some of the world’s most exclusive destinations, including Bhutan, Oman, and the Seychelles.

The upscale hotel brand is making a determined effort to expand its footprint in the United States, with recent announcements of Six Senses South Carolina Islands and Six Senses Napa, both of which are slated to open in 2026.

Six Senses was acquired by IHG Hotels & Resorts back in 2019, letting you earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points with the chain.

The award-winning luxury hotel brand is known for making the most of a location’s natural elements. This is something we’re excited to see at the new resort in Telluride, which is one of the most aesthetically pleasing mountain towns in the Colorado Rockies.

Bottom Line:

Six Senses is one of the world’s most high-end hotel brands, emphasizing wellness and sustainability. You’ll find 23 Six Senses hotels in some of the most exclusive destinations around the globe. The addition of the Six Senses Telluride expands the brand’s presence in the U.S. to 3 total resorts, including Six Senses Napa and Six Senses South Carolina Islands.

Final Thoughts

The Rocky Mountains are renowned for their breathtaking natural beauty, majestic peaks, crystal-clear alpine lakes, and vibrant forests. It’s no wonder that Six Senses has chosen to build a resort in the prestigious ski town of Telluride.

By 2028, the Six Senses Telluride will be ready to welcome visitors, adding to the growing number of Six Senses locations across the United States.
