Marriott Bonvoy members will soon have an ultra-luxury option in the Caribbean, which is great news for those visiting Punta Cana next summer.

Here’s everything you need to know!

New Punta Cana St. Regis Resort Is Open for Reservations

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, set to open next spring, is currently accepting reservations for stays beginning on April 15, 2025.

The beachfront property, situated in the upscale Cap Cana area of Punta Cana, is set to become Marriott’s first St. Regis hotel in the Dominican Republic.

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort will feature 182 rooms, which include 28 suites with swim-up options, as well as an expansive 6,500-square-foot presidential suite that boasts 2 bedrooms.

The luxury resort will also include 9 bars and restaurants, offering various dining options that include Peruvian cuisine from celebrity chef Diego Muñoz, Mediterranean dishes, Latin tapas, poolside dining, a rooftop bar, and the signature St. Regis Bar.

Additional hotel amenities include a spa featuring 13 treatment rooms, a gym, 4 swimming pools, a kids’ club, a teens’ club, a golf course, and St. Regis’ signature butler service.

“The eagerly awaited opening of The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort ushers in a new benchmark of luxury in the Dominican Republic, offering guests an inspiring welcome to one of the world’s most idyllic viewpoints on bespoke service, refined dining, and mystical design, set within an iconic landmark on the island,” said Laura Santoni, general manager at The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort. “We are thrilled to welcome guests and debut the brand’s legacy, exquisite atmosphere, and architecture in this paradisiacal and evolving destination.”

Booking The St. Regis Cap Cana With Marriott Bonvoy Points

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort now accepts reservations for stays beginning April 15, 2025, through Marriott.com. Nightly rates for May 2025 begin at $783 per night, including taxes and fees.

Unfortunately, as of this writing, Marriott Bonvoy has yet to make The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort available for point bookings, so we do not know how much a room will run in points. However, we will update you as soon as this information becomes available.

If you want to use points for a stay at The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, thankfully, earning Marriott Bonvoy points is incredibly easy, even if you aren’t a loyalist. Both American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio and, on occasion, will offer transfer bonuses. Marriott offers several co-branded credit cards with massive welcome bonuses and some form of elite status.

Hot Tip:

Final Thoughts

Punta Cana is commonly associated with all-inclusive resorts, which can be fantastic for a holiday, but sometimes you need a little more luxury. The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort is the brand’s first in the Dominican Republic and will likely be among the most prestigious resorts in Punta Cana. While we wait for the hotel to become available for points booking, check out Marriott’s other Punta Cana choices or book a cash rate to hold the room.
