New DVC Property, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, Opens in Anaheim

Disney has opened its second Disney Vacation Club property at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The resort, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, is a more economical option than the current Grand Californian Hotel that’s currently on the property, and is open to Disney Vacation Club sales.

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel opened on September 28, 2023. At over 340 rooms, it is an enormous tower set near the Downtown Disney area and features a variety of room types, perfect for families of all sizes:

1 Bedroom Villa
2 Bedroom Villa

3 Bedroom Grand Villa

Each room is themed to various Disney movies, such as “Bambi,” “The Princess and the Frog,” or “Sleeping Beauty,” for example. The resort has the usual amenities such as a pool, an on-site bar, and nearby restaurants at the Disneyland Hotel.

Rooms start at just 10 Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points a night, which is actually quite reasonable for a resort of this type in this location. For comparison, many Disney resorts at Disney World start around 8 DVC points per night. That said, a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa can easily exceed 200 points per night if you want to splurge.

Current Disney Vacation Club members have been able to add-on at this resort since May 2, 2023, and the general public began buying on May 30, 2023. The resort continues to be for sale and has not sold out as of this writing.

Final Thoughts

This new resort is walkable to both Disneyland theme parks and is a much cheaper option than the more lux Grand Californian resort nearby. If you’re able to snag a room at the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, you’ll be right in the heart of the magic!
