For a limited time, you can transfer points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club and receive 20% bonus points. This sale includes Citi and American Express — but it won’t last long.

Here’s everything you need to know to take advantage of this offer.

Limited-Time Transfer Bonuses to Qatar

The first of 2 transfer bonuses ends on March 15, 2025. Until that date, U.S.-based travelers can transfer points from Citi ThankYou Points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club for a 20% bonus.

This transfer bonus is offered by Citi and is listed clearly on the Citi transfer partner page, so you’ll see exactly how many Avios you’ll get after the transfer — no guesswork involved.

As always, points must be transferred in 1,000-point increments, so you’ll get, for example, 120,000 Qatar Airways Avios if you transfer 100,000 Citi ThankYou Points.

The second bonus is also 20% and applies to transfering points from Amex Membership Rewards in the United States to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. The bonus ends on March 31, 2025.

It’s important to note that you can freely (and instantly) transfer Avios between various loyalty programs. If you want to boost your Iberia PlusFinnair Plus, or British Airways Club account, you could use this transfer bonus from Citi or Amex to Qatar Airways and then move those Avios onward to another program at a 1:1 ratio.

How To Earn Transferable Points

Transferable points from credit cards remain one of the best ways to travel on points and miles. Better yet, transfer bonuses like this one to Qatar help your points can go even further.

If you don’t have enough points to spare this time around, don’t worry. Transfer bonuses come around often and change from month to month.

If you’re in need of Amex or Citi points, you may be interested in the American Express® Gold Card or the Citi Premier® Card.

Final Thoughts

If you have Membership Rewards or ThankYou Points and you’ve been looking forward to a ride aboard one of the world’s best airlines, now’s your chance, thanks to a 20% transfer bonus to Qatar Airways Privilege Club.

Not only that: Since Qatar Airways Avios can be transferred 1:1 to several other airlines that use Avios, you have many possibilities to redeem them for award flights.
