Uber is rolling out several new perks that could help you save money at this summer’s World Cup and make getting around a little easier.

The company recently announced a handful of new features aimed at fans traveling across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico for tournament matches. Some of these features focus on savings, while others help with transportation before and after games.

Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s a Closer Look at Uber’s New World Cup Travel Perks

Travel Pass Offers up to $85 in Savings

Of all the new features Uber announced, the Travel Pass is probably the one that caught my attention most. Uber is launching a new Travel Pass in the U.S. for $4.99 that unlocks up to $85 in savings across Uber rides and Uber Eats orders over a 14-day period. Similar passes are also available in Canada and Mexico.

If you’re flying in for a match and expect to use Uber for airport transfers, rides around town, and the occasional Uber Eats order, it doesn’t take much to start getting value from a pass that costs less than $5.

Stadium Shuttles Provide Flat-Rate Transportation After Matches

If you’ve ever left a packed stadium and opened a rideshare app, you already know what happens next: Prices surge and wait times grow. To help address that issue, Uber is launching Uber Shuttle service after matches at stadiums in Miami, Dallas, Boston, and New York/New Jersey.

Fans can reserve seats in advance through the Uber app and lock in pricing before match day. Shuttle fares are $45 in Miami, Dallas, and Boston, while rides from New York/New Jersey cost $49. Unlike standard rides, surge pricing won’t affect shuttle pricing after the final whistle.

Uber Max Lets Larger Groups Travel Together

If you’re heading to a match with family or a group of friends, Uber is also introducing Uber Max, a new option that lets customers reserve a 14-passenger van for transportation to and from matches.

The service can be booked through Uber’s Hourly feature for up to 8 hours and is available in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. If you’re traveling with a larger group, this option could be a simpler alternative to coordinating multiple vehicles before and after a game.

Earn 30% Back Through Uber Eats Dine Out

Food is another area where travelers can save a little money during the tournament. Customers who reserve and dine at participating restaurants through Dine Out on Uber Eats, powered by OpenTable, can earn 30% back in Uber Cash, up to $35, in U.S. host cities.

Hot Tip:

Uber is also rolling out a few smaller enhancements, including airport directions that guide travelers to the correct pickup area and stadium pickup guidance designed to help riders find less crowded pickup spots after matches. Fans can also customize their in-app vehicle icon with their national team’s flag.

Final Thoughts

Traveling for the World Cup won’t be cheap, but a few of Uber’s new perks could help offset some of the cost. The Travel Pass stands out as the most valuable addition, while the new stadium shuttles could make getting back from matches a little less painful.
