United MileagePlus members can now enjoy a new benefit thanks to the airline’s new collaboration with Instacart, the food and grocery delivery platform.

Instacart will offer MileagePlus members $0 delivery fees on select orders placed close to their United flights. Members who link their accounts can also earn bonus miles.

What does this new partnership offer? Here’s a closer look.

United and Instacart Partnership Details

United MileagePlus members can link their accounts to Instacart to enjoy $0 delivery fees on orders placed shortly before, during, or after a domestic flight with United. Plus, members will be eligible for bonus earnings and special promotions found at Instacart.com/p/United.

This isn’t the first time United has partnered with Instacart. Chase and United refreshed their co-branded credit cards earlier this year with complimentary Instacart+ membership and credits for select cards. Now, MileagePlus members can benefit further, even if they don’t have a United Airlines credit card.

As of October 6, 2025, MileagePlus members can enjoy several perks with Instacart:

  • $0 delivery fees for 7 days, available for enrollment when booking a domestic flight with United
  • 5,000 bonus MileagePlus miles, available for new Instacart members who place 4 grocery orders of at least $35 each within 8 weeks
  • 5,000 bonus MileagePlus miles after enrolling in a paid annual Instacart+ membership and keeping it active for at least 30 days
  • 500 bonus MileagePlus miles for existing Instacart users who link their United and Instacart accounts and place an order of at least $35 within 60 days

Note that these bonus offers can be obtained once per person, and only 1 United MileagePlus account can be linked to any Instacart account

Hot Tip:

Instacart+ is a paid service that offers $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of at least $10. It also offers access to New York Times Cooking and Peacock Premium, among other perks. The service costs $9.99 per month or $99 annually.

Final Thoughts

In a new partnership we didn’t expect, United and Instacart are linking up to provide bonus miles, waived delivery fees — albeit temporarily, unless you get an Instacart+ membership — and opportunities for future deals and discounts.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any bonus perks for those with United elite status. The good news, though, is that you can earn bonus miles and take advantage of a handful of perks even if you don’t want to commit to the paid Instacart+ offering. And you may already be eligible for a complimentary Instacart+ membership through a Chase card.
