U.S. Travel launched its popular Daily Getaways promotion back in 2010, and it has been running annually ever since. Sadly, this annual promotion has run its course, and it won’t return in 2025.

Daily Getaways may have fallen victim to its own success, as offers get better but also harder to buy in recent years. Deals could sell out in seconds, depending on how good they were.

Now that Daily Getaways has been canceled, how can you find similar deals going forward? Let’s look at what happened and where that leaves us as deal hunters.

What Was the Daily Getaways Promotion?

U.S. Travel launched Daily Getaways in 2010, running annually through 2024. New offers were available each day — hence the “Daily” aspect — and offers started spanning multiple weeks as the program’s popularity grew.

For example, in 2022, the program ran for 2 weeks, offering deals on Universal Orlando packages, rooms at The Venetian in Las Vegas, or buying points from Hyatt, Marriott, and Choice, among other offers.

In 2024, the program ran for 3 weeks. Steller offers returned, such as buying Hilton Honors points for half a cent each. The number of packages available in each deal was listed, and you’ll notice that quantities were relatively low, especially considering their popularity.

While the ability to buy points wasn’t unique, the deals sometimes offered “best price this year” with certain programs. Moreover, the packages weren’t subject to a program’s normal limits, meaning you could still buy points even if you’d already bought the maximum number of Hyatt or Marriott points for the year.

Hotel and entertainment packages also included rooms, show tickets, dinner, and more at a fraction of their normal costincluding items you couldn’t buy on your own.

Now, if you visit the promotion page, where deals typically appear every spring or summer, you’ll notice that Daily Getaways has been canceled. All previous sales are considered final.

However, as the value of Daily Getaways offers grew, so did their popularity. We even said this as the 2024 offers launched, as multiple deals sold out within seconds.

Where Can You Find Deals Like These in the Future?

With the end of Daily Getaways, stellar deals won’t be listed on a single website for you to check each morning — or set your alarm when sale times are announced at the beginning of each week. Thankfully, it doesn’t mean you can’t find deals like these.

We have multiple pages that can help you know where to look for travel deals, such as:

And what about those packages to purchase points and miles from your favorite loyalty programs? We keep an updated list of current promotions to buy points and a list of current transfer bonuses to get more value from your rewards.

True, these promotions to buy points and miles directly from the loyalty program will be subject to the per-day and per-year limits each program imposes, and that’s an element people loved about Daily Getaways. But you can still get a great deal if you know where to look.

Bottom Line:

Rather than knowing a specific deal will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, you’ll need to track deals across a few websites, depending on what you’re looking for. While that can require a bit more work, not putting them all in one place may make it easier to buy a deal once you find one. You won’t compete with thousands of others who set their alarm for the same offer you wanted.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately, Daily Getaways won’t return for 2025 since U.S. Travel has ended this program. While the deals often provided incredible value, the popularity of Daily Getaways meant snagging the best deals was nearly impossible in recent years. Now, you’ll need to track deals elsewhere but compete with fewer people — that may be the silver lining.
