If you’re a fan of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and have some IHG One Rewards points to spend, you may want to use them now. IHG has announced that the resort will leave the IHG program next year.

Let’s take a look at this news and how to book the resort before the end of the year.

The Venetian Resort Leaving IHG in 2025

It looks like IHG’s partnership with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort is ending. During an earnings call, IHG said the hotel would no longer be affiliated with IHG on January 1, 2025. The partnership had been ongoing for 15 years, IHG said.

The brand said this will represent a loss of more than 7,000 rooms for IHG. Both hotels are a huge part of the Strip, offering Italian-themed rooms, sprawling casino, and nearly 3 dozen dining options. The 2 properties have been favorites for IHG One Rewards loyalists visiting Las Vegas, thanks to their affordability with points.

IHG says InterContinental Alliance Resorts agreements for 3 other resorts — The Venetian Macao, The Londoner Macao in China, and The Parisian Macao — remain unchanged. You’ll still be able to earn and redeem points at these properties.

Booking The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

Should you decide to stay at either property in Las Vegas, you’d better hurry. While both hotels are still bookable with cash or IHG One Rewards points, they won’t be for long.

Rates at The Venetian Resort start at just 28,000 points per night for dates this fall and winter. Luckily, there’s pretty good availability through the remainder of the year. Cash rates start at $108 per night but average around $200 nightly.

Similarly, award rates at the Palazzo start at 28,000 points per night. You’ll find cash rates for around $250 per night.

While you don’t have much time to book before both hotels leave IHG, you have a few options for quickly earning IHG points.

The easiest — and quickest — is by opening an IHG-branded credit card. You also can earn points by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

IHG is ending its agreement with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort at the end of the year. That means you’ll no longer be able to earn or redeem IHG points at either hotel. Award rates are dirt cheap right now, but if you plan to visit, you’d better do it before the end of the year.
