The other disadvantage is for those who get reimbursed for work-related travel. Instead of being reimbursed for the full (un-discounted) flight cost and receiving a separate $300 credit, consumers will only be able to be reimbursed for the discounted cost of the flight.

Another disadvantage that I just found out. If renting a car and using the travel credit, you won’t get to take advantage of venture x primary rental insurance. The travel credit paid for the base rate, use my venture x to pay taxes and fees at the counter. I called visa infinite and they said it has to be paid in full or paid for with miles
