Virgin Atlantic has just released images of updates to its Clubhouse lounge at Heathrow.

The London-based carrier is in the midst of a complete renovation and has revealed new elements, including a VIP zone, private work pods, and a cinema area.

“This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can,” said Juha Järvinen, chief customer officer at Virgin Atlantic.

New Features At The Virgin Clubhouse Heathrow

Virgin Atlantic‘s Clubhouses have long been known for their unique standout offerings, such as the barbershop and Peloton bikes of yesteryear.

The London Heathrow Clubhouse has entered a new era, with a focus on wellness and the quintessential Britishness that is the airline’s beating heart. This is also the lounge that Delta One passengers and other elite status holders will use when departing from London Heathrow’s Terminal 3.

After introducing the concept with the opening of its LAX Clubhouse last year, the exclusive invite-only Royal Box is the most Virgin-esque new feature of the lounge.

Passengers can now also enjoy a movie or some TV in the reimagined cinema space, whose design was inspired by London’s private members’ clubs and the screening rooms of Soho.

Elsewhere, Virgin has introduced dedicated work pods — a great addition for those in need of some peace and quiet. This will hopefully mean less disruption from people taking calls on speakerphone…

Virgin has gone all out with 2 new pop-up wellness offerings. Until May 31, passengers can enjoy a complimentary self-guided light therapy and meditation session in a Somadome.

And until April 30, Virgin has a partnership with Secret Spa to offer a range of treatments from facials and manicures to express massages.

Järvinen also teases exciting updates for the Clubhouse’s popular outdoor plane-spotting terrace. Virgin confirmed to Upgraded Points that a second phase of the refurbishment is likely to take place before the end of the year or early in 2027.

Final Thoughts

The first phase of Virgin’s Heathrow Clubhouse refurbishment certainly looks fantastic. I’m looking forward to my next visit, though sadly it won’t be in time to try out a Somadome.
