IHG has announced that the Côte d’Azur Monaco Hotel in Dubai will come under its umbrella as the voco Monaco Dubai.

Here’s what you should know about the new resort.

First Adults-Only Hotel on a Dubai Island

IHG is billing voco Monaco Dubai as the ultimate party hotel — and it is apparently the first adults-only hotel on an island in Dubai. The hotel will feature 2 dining outlets, 8 suites, 5 party suites, and 4 suites with private pools.

The 198-room voco Monaco Dubai will open in the first quarter of 2024. Under its former name, Monaco Heart of Europe Dubai, the hotel has availability throughout the spring starting at $146 or 30,000 IHG One Rewards points per night.

“The transformation of the hotel into a voco-branded property reflects our commitment to delivering True Hospitality for our guests across key tourism destinations in the region,” said Haitham Mattar, managing director of India, Middle East, and Africa at IHG.

“Nestled within the captivating The World Islands Dubai in The Heart of Europe project, the converted voco hotel is poised to redefine premium and set new benchmarks in the Middle Eastern hospitality,” Mattar continued.

When it opens, voco Monaco Dubai will participate in the IHG One Rewards program. That means you can earn and redeem points at the property.

And IHG has a massive presence in Dubai, with dozens of properties throughout the city. These include high-end brands such as InterContinental and Vignette Collection. You’ll find that hotels in the region are typically affordable — even 5-star hotels — whether paying cash or points. For instance, a 1-night stay at the InterContinental Dubai Marina starts at just $178 (or 33,000 points) a night in mid-May.

Earning IHG One Rewards points is pretty easy, as you can transfer Bilt Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards to IHG at a 1:1 ratio. You can also earn points through a welcome bonus or daily spending on some of the best cards for IHG loyalists.
