One of Hilton’s most luxurious brands is set to debut in Lake Tahoe.
Even though it’s not expected to open its doors until 2027, Hilton has decided to get us excited years ahead of time.
“Now more than ever, our guests are seeking engaging experiences, from embracing local culture to connecting with nature,” said Matt Schuyler, Chief Brand Officer at Hilton. “With Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe, guests will enjoy one of the finest natural settings at one of the most luxurious hotels in the destination.”
Here’s what we can expect from the Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe.
The Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe
Though it might be half a decade before we can see it in real life, there’s a lot to be excited about with this upcoming property.
Managed by EKN Development Group, Hilton’s new 15-acre Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe will feature a resort and branded residences located in the Crystal Bay/Incline Village area on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe (the lake itself is situated in both California and Nevada).
The resort will comprise just 76 exclusive guest rooms and a further 61 branded residences.
Bottom Line: The Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe will join Hilton’s portfolio of 32 Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts spanning the globe in some incredible locations. Here are some of our top Waldorf Astoria redemptions.
Guests can enjoy all the luxuries and world-class hospitality the Waldorf Astoria offers year-round, as the Lake Tahoe region can be enjoyed no matter the time of year or the weather.
“Lake Tahoe is a highly sought-after and year-round alpine destination making it an ideal location to provide guests, residents, outdoor enthusiasts, and locals a haven to explore outdoor activities complemented by our brand’s luxurious amenities,” said Kevin Jacobs, Chief Financial Officer and President of Global Development at Hilton.
In the summertime, guests will have the option of wining and dining at an expansive 3-acre beach club that includes a private beach and pier with direct lake access.
Come the winter season, guests will have access to a gondola-side mountain club at NorthStar Ski Resort with unlimited access to one of the best year-round mountain resorts in the country.
Tempting as all of that may be, some may prefer to decompress at the hotel’s spa and fitness center or unwind by one of the resort’s pools.
Final Thoughts
With 5 years still to wait, it’s a little too early to start counting down until the Waldorf Astoria Lake Tahoe opens its doors to guests.
Still, it’s worth keeping at the back of your mind for a future trip as it promises to be one of the most luxurious spots to stay in Lake Tahoe.
