World of Hyatt has had a busy month. It transitioned to its new award chart about a week ago and finished a large category realignment for well over 100 properties.

Now, it has another update to share, though the change isn’t effective immediately. Soon, certain members will be able to access an extended booking window, giving them more time to secure reservations ahead of other members.

Here’s what you need to know.

World of Hyatt Will Soon Give Some Members a Longer Booking Window

World of Hyatt has made numerous program changes this month, chief among them the implementation of its new award chart with 5 redemption tiers, up from the former 3. It also raised the maximum rate of award pricing for Category 8 properties from 45,000 to 75,000 points per night, a significant devaluation.

There’s been tons of chatter about that major change, but another one has flown somewhat under the radar. Starting June 30, 2026, World of Hyatt will extend the booking window for Globalist, Explorist, and those who hold a World of Hyatt co-branded credit card.

Currently, everyone has access to World of Hyatt’s award calendar 12 months in advance. After this change, members who meet the criteria above will have access to award nights 13 months in advance. This change applies to nights reserved entirely with points and to those reserved with a combination of cash and points.

This gives Hyatt’s most loyal members and cardholders better access to award inventory if they can make plans that far in advance. It could also give qualifying members a better shot at securing nights at the most in-demand properties during peak travel periods.

Final Thoughts

This isn’t a massive change like the others we’ve seen from World of Hyatt this month. However, it’s good news that the award calendar is being extended for certain elite members and co-branded cardholders.

Having a month to lock in award nights before the rest of the program’s members could result in scoring a hard-to-book stay at some of the best Hyatt properties at the very best times — a coveted achievement for many award travelers.
