Operated by BWH Hotels, the parent company behind Best Western, the brand just announced Backdrop, a new collection centered on upscale glamping and nature-driven escapes around the world.

Part of BWH Hotels, the parent company behind Best Western, WorldHotels is introducing Backdrop as a new collection focused on outdoor-oriented stays in scenic destinations.

Rather than traditional hotels, the collection is centered on accommodations like safari-style tents, standalone cabins, and lodge-style properties near national parks, mountains, and other natural settings.

The collection is launching with just a handful of properties. At the moment, Backdrop includes 2 active locations: Zion Wildflower Resort near Zion National Park and Asheville River Cabins in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. An additional property, The Lodge at Pico Bonito in Honduras, is expected to join the collection soon.

Backdrop is starting small, but WorldHotels has plans to expand the collection over time. The launch also comes as interest in glamping and outdoor-focused travel continues to grow, with more travelers seeking alternatives to traditional hotel stays.

Each property operates independently but shares a similar focus on location-driven experiences, with accommodations designed to reflect their surrounding environment, whether that’s desert, riverside, or rainforest.
