Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is offering 30% off room rates at 160 hotels worldwide as part of an end-of-year sale. This is a great sale to take advantage of due to the deep discount, though you only have a few days to book.

Let’s look at the details of this sale.

What Are Small Luxury Hotels?

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) are affiliated with Hyatt hotels and stays with eligible SLH properties enable you to earn World of Hyatt points when booking through Hyatt.

SLH properties are typically boutique in size, with locations in both large cities and smaller communities. These hotels often offer a small number of rooms, based on the “S” in SLH. Some have less than 10 rooms, while there are a few larger properties. Regardless of the number of rooms, you can anticipate a tailored, local experience when staying at an SLH property.

The Sale

  • You can save 30% off stays of 2 nights or more.
  • There are over 160 properties that are participating, and the full list can be viewed here.
  • Your stay needs to occur between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.
  • The booking window is from now through January 3, 2024, so you have a limited time to book your stay.
  • To receive the discount, you need to be a member of SLH’s INVITED loyalty program, which you can join for free on the SLH website.

Some sample destinations include Italy, Greece, the U.K., and the U.S.

A Word on Benefits

As mentioned before, SLH has a partnership with Hyatt hotels, though booking through this promotion will not get you any of those benefits. To take advantage of the partnership, you need to book directly with Hyatt. However, to save 30% on this sale, you have to book directly through SLH.

For reference, booking through Hyatt gets these perks:

  • Complimentary continental breakfast
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Early check-in (based on availability at check-in)
  • Late checkout (based on availability at check-in)
  • One category room upgrade (based on availability at check-in)

So, when booking your stay, you need to consider whether saving 30% is worth it to forgo these perks you’d receive when booking through Hyatt.

Hot Tip: SLH Hotels normally are very expensive properties, so even with the 30% discount, you may want to consider whether it’s worth using World of Hyatt points on your stay for a free trip.

Final Thoughts

SLH operates some great hotels throughout the world, and each property truly offers a small, luxury experience as its name implies. Saving 30% off of your stay is a great deal, and you’ll want to review the savings to see whether booking through SLH or Hyatt makes the most sense for you.
