For those students looking to start earning points, building credit (very important for the future!), or finding ways to easily book a trip (e.g. Google Flights which is free or the Costco Travel service), please feel free to look around the site. We’re constantly adding more resources to Upgraded Points and we always welcome feedback.

If you’re looking for some student credit card advice, you will probably want a credit card that has good potential for rewards while also having no annual fee.

One of our recommended cards in this category would be the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card.

Once you have collected points and maybe don’t mind having to pay an annual fee, you can get the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Credit Card, which will allow you to utilize those earned points for travel rewards (you can combine the points earned from both Chase cards).

Lastly, you may want to consider other travel tools, such as the Global Entry program, which will give you expedited security access and make travel a little easier. This could be helpful for studying abroad as well!
