Located 10 miles south of downtown Baltimore and 30 miles north of Washington, D.C., Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is a popular choice for travelers from both cities.

However, the airport is pretty barren when it comes to lounge options, with the exception of a few spaces and services available to select flyers.

The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express are some of the very best credit cards for airport lounge access. Cardholders have access to more than 1,400 lounges, including Amex’s own Centurion Lounges, Priority Pass lounges (upon enrollment), and Delta Sky Clubs (when flying same-day Delta).

Here are some other great cards that also offer a complimentary Priority Pass lounge membership (enrollment required):

Final Thoughts

Baltimore/Washington International Airport is considered a medium-sized airport and served over 22 million passengers in 2022. With Southwest Airlines accounting for around 70% of passenger traffic, none of the so-called “Big 3” airlines (American, Delta, and United) have lounges at BWI.

Eligible Priority Pass holders have a few different options, including The Club at BWI, Minute Suites, and ROAM Fitness, although all of these also offer the ability to purchase a pass for non-members.

The information regarding the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
