Connecting Between Terminals for Lounge Access

Passengers have access to all concourses once they have cleared security. There are no trains or buses required to move around, so it’s possible to walk between connections or when accessing a lounge in another concourse.

Without the need to re-clear security, passengers can spend more time relaxing in the lounge before their flight. The 2 furthest gates are just a 15-minute walk from each other, but it’s still advisable to leave plenty of time to walk from a lounge to your departure gate.

Best Credit Cards to Access Priority Pass Lounges

There are several great credit card options that give cardholders access to the Priority Pass lounge network that includes 2 Minute Suite locations at CLT and over 1,300 other airport lounges worldwide. Since Priority Pass is the largest airport lounge network worldwide, you’ll almost find one available to you — no matter where you’re traveling.

A top credit card option that offers best-in-class lounge access is the Amex Platinum card. In addition to access to Priority Pass lounges, Amex Platinum cardholders also get access to top-notch Amex Centurion loungesPlaza Premium loungesDelta Sky Clubs (when flying Delta), Escape Lounges, and Airspace lounges — 6 airport lounge networks for the price of 1!

Another excellent option is the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card that takes your Priority Pass access a step forward by including access to 31 Priority Pass restaurants in the U.S. How do these differ from lounges? At Priority Pass restaurants, you’ll receive $28 food and beverage credit towards your bill, and when you dine with a guest that number doubles to $56.

Here are some other great credit card options that allow cardholders to visit Priority Pass lounges:

Final Thoughts

With American Airlines operating 90% of flights from CLT, it’s not surprising that it’s the only airline lounge at the airport. The 2 Admirals Clubs welcome premium passengers, Admirals Club members, and elite AAdvantage and OneWorld members, while also enabling any passenger flying with American Airlines to purchase a day pass for $59.

In early 2020, American Express opened one of its largest Centurion Lounges at CLT, much to the delight of American Express cardholders. The airport’s compact and convenient layout means that passengers inside the secure area can move between concourses for lounge access without needing to clear security twice.

There’s an exciting upcoming Collinson “The Club” location under construction in the A connector (within the little bump out you can see on the A connector in the map above, on the path to the JetBlue, Southwest, Frontier, and Spirit gates). No ETA for opening, the vinyl wrap just went up on it in the past two or three weeks.
