Hot Tip:

Have elite status with another hotel loyalty program? Best Western Rewards offers an instant status match of hotel loyalty programs.

Value of Best Western Rewards Status

Best Western Rewards Gold offers minimal benefits but provides members with 500 bonus points per stay and complimentary water upon arrival.

Best Western Rewards Platinum steps it up a notch with early check-in and late checkout privileges.

Best Western Rewards Diamond and Diamond Select don’t offer more benefits than lower tiers but earn 30% and 50% points bonuses, respectively.

How To Earn Best Western Rewards Points

These are some of the best ways to earn Best Western points.

Earning Points on Best Western Stays

All Best Western Rewards members earn 10x points per dollar on eligible stays. Elite status members earn bonuses:

  • Blue: 10x points per dollar
  • Gold: 10x points per dollar plus a 10% bonus
  • Platinum: 10x points per dollar plus a 15% bonus
  • Diamond: 10x points per dollar plus a 30% bonus
  • Diamond Select: 10x points per dollar plus a 50% bonus

Eligible stays don’t include bookings through online travel agencies such as Priceline or Expedia, stays booked through tour operators, or stays booked at special discounted rates such as employee or crew rates or stays longer than 30 nights.

Within the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, you can earn rewards for up to 10 rooms booked for the same night as long as you pay for the room at a qualifying rate. Outside of the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, you can earn for up to 3 rooms on the same night.

Best Western Rewards frequently promotes special points offers, such as staying 3 nights to get 10,000 bonus points.

You can transfer points to airlines in the redemption mall. Most have a transfer ratio of 5,000 Best Western points to 1,000 airline miles, but some offer slightly more airline miles. For example, you can transfer 5,000 Best Western Rewards points to get 1,600 AeroMexico Rewards Points. You’re limited to a maximum of 10 transfers per day.

Pay With Points

If you’re just a few points away from a free night redemption, you can purchase the remaining points you need. Points purchases start at $10 for 1,000 and can go up to 20,000 points for $200 in 1,000-point increments.
