Sometimes you stumble across a hotel that just hits right, and this was one of those times.

Thanks to points and miles, I was able to visit Paris twice in 2024 and most recently stayed 4 nights at the Hôtel du Louvre using World of Hyatt points. From the location to the room to the service and food, the Hôtel du Louvre was nearly perfect.

If you’ve been looking for the best Hyatt in Paris, this hotel might be it. Let’s take a closer look at why this hotel might be the right choice for your trip to Paris.

Is Hôtel du Louvre the Best Hyatt in Paris?

Hotel du Louvre Paris
The Hôtel du Louvre is located right next to the Louvre Museum.

If you’re traveling to Paris and also a fan of Hyatt, you’re probably wondering which Paris Hyatt hotel is the best. Admittedly, I haven’t stayed at all of the Paris Hyatt hotels, but I was lucky enough to experience 2 of them this year, Hôtel du Louvre and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. As much as I enjoyed my stay at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, if I were going to book one of these hotels again, I’d choose Hôtel du Louvre.

Spectacular Location

One of the main reasons to book the Hôtel du Louvre, which is part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is its incredible location. Cafes and restaurants fill the streets, and many of Paris’ most popular tourist attractions are steps away.

The area around the hotel is bustling with activity.

One of the best parts about the Hôtel du Louvre’s location is that the Louvre is next door to the hotel — my room even had a balcony overlooking this famed museum.

That’s the Louvre! It doesn’t get much better than this in Paris.

Next to the Louvre, you’ll find the Tuileries Garden, and both of these attractions are on the banks of the Seine River. Within 20 minutes, you can walk to the Paris Opera, Galeries Lafayette, Musée d’Orsay, and Place de la Concorde. Notre-Dame is a 25-minute walk from the hotel.

Hot Tip:

If you want to see the sights with built-in transportation, consider booking a Big Bus tour of Paris. The first stop is a 4-minute walk from Hôtel du Louvre.

Taking a Big Bus tour is a great way to see the city.

It’s Bookable With Hyatt Points

Hôtel du Louvre is a Hyatt Category 7 hotel that costs 25,000 (off-peak), 30,000 (standard), or 35,000 (peak) points per night.

I paid 120,000 World of Hyatt points for 4 nights. The cash cost of my stay would have been $2,300 (based on the standard room I booked — but I got an upgrade, so the cash cost would actually have been much higher). That works out to be just under 2 cents per point, which is well over the 1.5 cents per point at which we value Hyatt points.

I earned those points by spending on The World of Hyatt Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, and Chase Freedom Flex® cards. Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio, so it’s easy to earn lots of Hyatt points quickly.

Hot Tip:

The Hôtel du Louvre is one of the best Paris hotels to book with points. Even better, you can use points and miles to fly to Paris, too!

Beautiful and Comfortable Rooms

I loved my room at the Hôtel du Louvre. Though I booked the base-level room with 2 twin beds, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite with View, thanks to my Globalist status. Our second-floor room was on the corner overlooking the Louvre. There was even a narrow wraparound balcony, allowing us to take in all the sights and sounds of the city.

The room was spacious and bright thanks to the white walls, very high ceilings, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Even with all that white, the furnishings and decor gave it a warm and inviting feeling.

My room was spacious, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The focal point was the beautiful blue couch in the corner.

I’m obsessed with this gorgeous blue couch.

Our bathroom was spacious and comfortable, complete with fluffy robes and slippers, a towel warmer, Codage bath products, and a great shower.

The bathroom had lots of space.

Delicious Food

I really enjoyed the food at Hôtel du Louvre. On our first night, after a long day of travel, we ordered room service and were delighted with delicious (and enormous) bowls of French onion soup.

This soup was delicious.

Breakfast was served daily from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at Brasserie du Louvre – Bocuse, and as a Globalist, it was included in my stay. I could order from a small menu in addition to everything on the buffet.

The breakfast buffet included a lot of options.

I had poached eggs, which came with a tasty salad. I added toasted French bread from the buffet (the French just make bread better than everyone else) along with fruit, coffee, and a pastry, and I was ready to start my day.

I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel each morning.

Other Hyatt Hotels in Paris

There are currently 12 Hyatts in Paris, including 2 airport hotels and 6 Mr & Mrs Smith properties.

Bottom Line:

In 2024, I stayed at 2 Hyatt hotels in Paris: Hôtel du Louvre and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. I enjoyed both hotels immensely, but if I had to pick a winner, it would be Hôtel du Louvre. The location (next door to the Louvre museum) was perfect, the rooms were wonderful, and the service was excellent.

Final Thoughts

I absolutely loved my stay at the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris. This Hyatt hotel ticked all the boxes: excellent location, beautiful and comfortable room, great food, and excellent service. I preferred it over the more expensive Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme and would go so far as to say it could be the best Hyatt in Paris.
