Accor has unveiled its latest brand of hotels: Handwritten Collection. The first 2 properties of the charming, boutique-style hotels opened their doors on January 19, 2023, in China and France — with many more on the way.
Here’s what you can expect from a stay at an Accor Handwritten Collection hotel.
5 Handwritten Collection Hotels To Open Early 2023
Accor’s Handwritten Collection will be made up of cozy, boutique-style hotels for travelers who prefer a more personal and bespoke experience from their hotel stays.
The majority of the Handwritten Collection will include once-standalone hotels whose hoteliers have poured their hearts into creating the perfect blend of personable hospitality and boutique flair.
Hot Tip: Accor’s loyalty program, Accor Live Limitless, is different than most other hotel loyalty programs as you’ll get €40 ($43) per 2,000 points off your stay.
The first 5 Handwritten hotels will open their doors in the first trimester of 2023, starting with the Hotel Shanghai Seshsan Oriental in Shanghai, China; and Le Saint Gervais Hotel & Spa in Saint Gervais, France, which opened their doors on January 19, 2023. The latter opens at the perfect time during peak ski season in the Alps.
The dates for further openings include:
- Hotel Morris in Sydney, Australia (February 2023)
- Wonil Hotel in Perth, Australia (February 2023)
- Le Splendid Hotel Lac d’Annecy in Annecy, France (April 2023)
- Hotel Les Capitouls Toulouse Centre, in Toulouse, France (May 2023)
- Oru Hub Hotel, in Tallinn, Estonia (May 2023)
“Handwritten Collection enriches Accor’s offering in the ‘collection brands’ segment with a curated selection of hotels that exhibit charming and one-of-a-kind concepts,” said Alex Schellenberger, chief marketing officer for premium, midscale, and economy brands at Accor. “Our aim, beyond delivering a truly authentic guest experience, is to support the growing number of independent and boutique hotel owners looking to boost their global profile, connect with more audiences and grow their revenue without losing their identity.”
In total, Accor plans to add more than 110 properties to the Handwritten Collection, with 12 confirmed signings. Other openings planned for the next year include:
- Paris Montmartre Sacré Coeur (whose name might change), in Paris, France
- Square Lodge Hotel in La Roche-sur-Yon, France
- Sunrise Premium Resort in Hoi An, Vietnam
Final Thoughts
If you like the personalized and unique experience that comes with a stay at a boutique hotel but want to reap the rewards of a hotel’s loyalty program, then a stay at Accor’s Handwritten Collection will be the perfect fit.
