The Alamite Is Now Open for Guests
Opened on September 15, 2022, The Alamite, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel became the first “upscale boutique” hotel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Found in the center of downtown Tuscaloosa, the hotel is just a few blocks from the University of Alabama’s campus, Bryant-Denny Stadium, and the forthcoming Saban Center, and is set among many of the area’s best restaurants, bars, and shopping.
The Alamite strives to be a “world-class boutique hotel with a regional soul” by respecting its Southern roots but with an eye to the larger world.
“From architecture to design and service, The Alamite is an experience infused with authentic touches inspired by the unique character, culture, heritage, and people of our city,” said Karen Steiger, General Manager of The Alamite Tuscaloosa. “We are excited to welcome visitors and locals alike to experience this new hotel, which builds on local traditions while maintaining a forward-looking perspective in Tuscaloosa.”
The new property has 112 guest rooms, a fitness center, plenty of meeting space, and 2 restaurants and bars:
- Forte: Cuts & Cocktails, now open, is helmed by Chef Jacob Stull, emphasizes meat with a “brasserie-meets-steakhouse menu,” and has a full bar and extensive wine list.
- Roll Call Rooftop Bar, opening in mid-October, will serve up sushi, sliders, pizzas, and other shareable dishes in an “inviting atmosphere and ambiance.” It features an indoor/outdoor concept that’s sure to be a hit on balmy football Saturdays in Tuscaloosa.
