Air Canada is giving some Aeroplan members a nice boost toward elite status this fall.

With a new targeted promotion, members can earn 50% more Status Qualifying Credits (SQC) when booking eligible Air Canada premium economy or business class flights to Europe. You’ll need to book by October 11, 2026, and travel by November 30, 2026.

The promotion is only around for a week, so here’s what you need to know.

Earn 50% More Credits Toward Aeroplan Elite Status

If you’re not familiar with Air Canada‘s SQC, think of them as one of the ways Aeroplan measures your progress toward Aeroplan Elite Status and additional Milestone Benefits.

Normally, eligible premium economy and business class tickets earn 4 SQC per $1 spent on the base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges. With this promotion, targeted members who book eligible Air Canada premium economy or business class flights to Europe get an extra 2 SQC per $1, bringing the total to 6 SQC per $1 spent — a 50% boost.

You can also qualify if you start in the U.S. and connect through Canada on your way to Europe, as long as the eligible flights are operated by Air Canada.

While no registration is required for this promo, you’ll need to book a flight by October 11, 2026, and travel by November 30, 2026.

For example, Air Canada says a qualifying Chicago (ORD) to Paris (CDG) trip through Montreal (YUL) with $2,500 in eligible airfare would normally earn 10,000 SQC. With this promotion, you’d earn another 5,000 SQC, for a total of 15,000 SQC.

This is a targeted offer, so not all Aeroplan members will be eligible.
Economy fares and award tickets booked with Aeroplan points aren’t eligible.
Points + Cash bookings and flights operated by partner airlines aren’t eligible.
