Air France is expanding its U.S. network with 2 new nonstop routes from its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The airline is adding Nashville, Tennessee, and San Diego, California, to its regular transatlantic schedule beginning in summer 2027.

The expansion comes as Air France continues to grow its presence in North America. Air France has increasingly focused on the U.S. market as part of its long-haul network strategy.

Here’s everything you need to know.

New Air France Routes

Air France is making some moves. Last month, the carrier decided to end its nonstop service between Paris and Denver (DEN), ending its 5-year connection between the 2 cities. However, it seems the SkyTeam airline has some new routes planned instead.

As first flagged by AeroRoutes, Air France plans to launch its Paris-Nashville (BNA) route on May 17, 2027, operating 3x weekly with an Airbus A350-900. It will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with the following schedule:

The airline will also launch its Paris-San Diego (SAN) service on May 17, 2027, operating 3x weekly on this schedule:

The Paris-San Diego route is particularly interesting since Air France operated that route in previous years, though only seasonally. The 2027 schedule looks like a move toward regular service.

What This Means for Travelers

For travelers in either Nashville or San Diego, the biggest benefit will be nonstop access to Paris, removing the need to connect through another U.S. or European airport. From Paris, passengers can also connect to various destinations across Europe and beyond, thanks to Air France’s extensive route network.

Additionally, these new flights should bring additional competition for passengers traveling between the U.S. and Europe.

However, passengers should note that the new services are planned for just 3 days per week right now, meaning some travel flexibility will be required.

Final Thoughts

Air France is expanding its transatlantic network for Summer 2027 with planned services between Paris and both Nashville and San Diego. Beginning in May 2027, both cities will gain 3 nonstop flights per week.

For travelers, the new routes mean greater convenience, more options for reaching other destinations in Europe, and potentially increased competition.
