It’s an exciting time for Alaska Airlines.

The Seattle-based carrier has announced the addition of Athens and Paris to its rapidly expanding international network as of May 2027.

“We fly where our guests aspire to go, and Athens and Paris have been high on that list for years,” said Ben Minicucci, CEO at Alaska Airlines.

Here’s everything we know about Alaska Airlines’ new European routes.

Alaska Will Fly to Athens and Paris From May 2027

The popular European cities of Athens and Paris will join Alaska‘s route network as of May 2027. The new seasonal services will bring the total of Alaska’s intercontinental routes to 5.

Alaska will become the only airline to connect Seattle (SEA) and the wider West Coast with nonstop flights to Athens as of May 12, 2027. It will operate 3 times weekly on the following schedule:

Best Ways To Book Alaska’s Flights to Athens and Paris

Tickets are available to book via Alaska Airlines’ website now, using either cash or Atmos Rewards points.

The lowest economy option I found for Athens was 30k points plus $6 in taxes and fees. I couldn’t find business class redemptions for less than 175k points.

For Paris, the lowest economy redemption I could find was 37,500 points. However, the best business class redemption I came across was 95k points plus $6 in taxes and fees. That’s significantly cheaper than Athens.

Hot Tip:

When booking Alaska Airlines flights with cash, using a travel rewards credit card to make the purchase is highly recommended — more specifically an Alaska Airlines cobranded card if you want to earn more Atmos Rewards points.

Final Thoughts

The West Coast is gaining 2 new nonstop routes to Europe next spring thanks to Alaska Airlines. Joining London (LHR), Reykjavik (KEF), and Rome (FCO), Athens and Paris are excellent additions to the airline’s growing number of intercontinental destinations.
