We have more details about the Alila Mayakoba, the Mexican resort currently being converted from the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya. The resort is expected to welcome guests in early February 2026 — and we have details on its category, pricing, and much more.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Accepting Reservations From February 2026

Earlier this year, we reported that the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya would close for renovations through the end of 2025. Hyatt then announced that the resort wouldn’t return as an Andaz, but would instead become an Alila property.

The much-awaited Alila Mayakoba was expected to open in late 2025. However, the opening date has been pushed back to February 12, 2026, and fortunately, the resort is now accepting reservations.

The resort will have several dining options, including a farm-to-table restaurant and a beach club. Other amenities include a pool, a spa, a fitness center, and even a traditional Mexican steam bath.

Hot Tip:

While the number of guest rooms and suites is known, 40% of the total rooms will be suites.

Booking Alila Mayakoba With Hyatt Points

The Alila Mayakoba is accepting reservations from February 12, 2026, and beyond. Cash rates are steep, and you can expect to pay nearly $1,000 per night.

However, you can find some great deals here using World of Hyatt points — especially on off-peak dates.

The Alila Mayakoba is a Category 6 property, meaning award nights cost 21,000 points per night during off-peak dates, 25,000 points per night during standard dates, and 29,000 points per night during peak dates.

There aren’t many off-peak dates yet, but you should be able to find a few dates in late August 2026.

While World of Hyatt points are some of the more challenging to earn, you have several options for booking a stay here. The easiest is to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

If you regularly stay at Hyatt hotels, you may want to consider opening one of the best credit cards for Hyatt loyalists.

Final Thoughts

When it opens, the Alila Mayakoba will join other luxury resorts in the Mayakoba region, such as Rosewood Mayakoba and Fairmont Mayakoba. Unlike those resorts, this one will be much easier to book with hotel points. Plus, if you score an elusive off-peak date, you can pay just 21,000 World of Hyatt points per night to stay at the resort!
