After a much-anticipated wait, the Alila Mayakoba has officially opened for guests — and it’s a pretty solid deal if you book with World of Hyatt points.

Here’s everything you need to know about this renovated property.

Alila Mayakoba Now Open After Converting From Andaz

The much-awaited Alila Mayakoba was expected to open in late 2025. However, the opening date was pushed back to February 12, 2026, and the resort is officially open for guests.

The resort offers 182 guest rooms and suites, including some with private plunge pools and a presidential suite.

Amenities include a pool, spa, fitness center, and a traditional Mexican steam bath. Also on the property are 6 dining options, including a farm-to-table restaurant, a beach club, and an all-day restaurant.

We reported last year that the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya would close for renovations through the end of 2025. Hyatt then announced that the resort wouldn’t return as an Andaz, but would instead become an Alila property.

Booking Alila Mayakoba With Hyatt Points

Alila Mayakoba is officially open for guests. However, cash rates are pretty steep, and you can expect to pay more than $1,000 per night.

Luckily, you can find some great deals here using World of Hyatt points — especially on off-peak dates.

The Alila Mayakoba is a Category 6 property, meaning award nights cost 21,000 points per night on off-peak dates, 25,000 points per night on standard dates, and 29,000 points per night on peak dates.

The earliest off-peak pricing we’re seeing is in September, so if you want to stretch your points, you may want to consider visiting the resort in the fall.

While earning World of Hyatt points can feel challenging, you have several options for booking a stay here. Although it took time to reopen, the Alila Mayakoba is extremely impressive, offering beautiful guest rooms and standout amenities after its renovation and conversion from an Andaz property. The resort is pretty pricey if paying cash, but if you score an off-peak date, you can pay just 21,000 World of Hyatt points per night to stay at the resort.
