Ultra-low-cost carrier Allegiant Air will be adding 3 brand new routes to its network from May 2022.
Each of the new services — from Des Moines (DSM) to Newark (EWR), Idaho Falls (IDA) to Santa Ana (SNA), and Orlando-Sanford (SFB) to Las Vegas (LAS) — will be the only nonstop service between the city pairs.
“These new routes are starting just in time for summer vacation and will give customers more affordable, convenient options to get to iconic destinations in Southern California, New York, and Las Vegas without the hassle of layovers of connections,” said Drew Wells, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Planning at Allegiant.
Here’s what we know about Allegiant’s new leisure routes.
Allegiant’s 3 New Leisure-Focused Routes
Las Vegas-based Allegiant‘s strong domestic route network focuses primarily on getting providing travelers with an affordable way to get to popular warm-weather destinations in Arizona, California, Florida, and of course, Las Vegas — the airline’s base.
It should come as no surprise then to hear that 2 out of the 3 newest route network additions are to the sunshine destinations of California and Florida. While Newark isn’t a summer vacation spot, it provides those living in Des Moines with a nonstop connection to New York — one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Not only that, but Allegiant will be the only carrier offering nonstop service between the 3 airport pairs, providing those living at both ends of the routes with brand new and exciting travel possibilities just in time for summer.
The new services will start throughout the month of May and operate only 2 days per week:
