Are you a football fan? You’re going to want to keep reading because there’s a new travel package that will also get you access to an NFL game in Las Vegas.

Here’s what you need to know!

Allegiant Offering Travel Packages for Raiders Games

Allegiant Air has announced a promotion offering travel packages to help NFL fans see games at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Each package includes:

  • Round-trip flights
  • A minimum 2-night hotel stay
  • Tickets to a Las Vegas Raiders game at Allegiant Stadium
  • The “Allegiant Total” bundle, which includes airfare, baggage, seat selection, priority access, and the flexibility to change travel plans without fees at no extra cost

Fans can experience a game with a team of their choice when they play the Raiders, who moved from Oakland, CA, to Las Vegas in 2020. It’s important to note that travelers may not purchase more Raiders tickets than the number of qualifying passengers.

If you want to take advantage of the promotion, you’ll need to book directly online.

“We’re proud to connect NFL fans to one of the world’s premier vacation, entertainment, and now sports destinations and doing it the Allegiant way: by providing nonstop, affordable airfare and the convenience of scheduling a one-of-a-kind sports vacation with just a few clicks of a button,” said Scott DeAngelo, Allegiant’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Is It Worth It?

Allegiant, a Las Vegas-based ultra-low-cost carrier, serves more than 100 destinations across the U.S. The airline also has authority for charter service to Canada and Mexico.

But is this promotion a good deal? Each bundle includes a flight, hotel stay, and a game ticket.

We searched for dates around October 2, 2022, when the Denver Broncos play the Raiders in Las Vegas. The cheapest round-trip option from Denver (DEN) to Las Vegas (LAS) with a stay at the 3-star Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (a 10-minute drive to the stadium) costs just over $1,700. We selected a seat in the 200 section, but you may be able to find something cheaper if you play around with the seat selection.

Remember that travelers must stay a minimum of 2 nights, so you’ll likely pay considerably more if you want to stay longer.

When we looked to construct a similar trip without the bundle, we found a round-trip ticket from Denver to Las Vegas for around $200 (remember, you’ll pay extra to pick your seats and check bags) and a 3-night stay at the Flamingo for around $870. However, it’s clear that the bulk of the costs is from the game ticket, which can cost around $600 per person for seats in the 200 section. So, it looks like keeping the package in bundled form can make sense.

Final Thoughts

This promotion makes sense if you’re a die-hard NFL fan and you want to spend a few nights in Las Vegas during the season. If you already had plans to see the Raiders play at the brand-new Allegiant stadium, this could be a pretty neat promotion. But don’t wait, because the airline expects these packages to sell out quickly!
