Save on Gas With Amazon Prime

The holiday season is right around the corner, which means you’ll likely be on the move. If you’re traveling by car, Amazon Prime is offering a promotion, called Fuel-up Fridays, that will help you save big on Friday fill-ups.

Between October 17 and December 26, 2025, Amazon Prime members can save 25 cents per gallon on 1 fuel purchase made each Friday. That represents 2.5x more savings than the typical 10 cents per gallon savings Amazon Prime members can usually get on gas purchases.

Here’s how it works:

  • Link your Amazon Prime account within the bp’s mobile app, earnify (iOS, Android).
  • When you visit a bp, Amoco, or a participating ampm gas station, enter your phone number at the pump.
  • Fill up and save 25 cents per gallon.

This promotion includes all fuel grades, with no minimum or maximum gallon requirements.

Use the Right Credit Card To Earn Even More Rewards

Since you can make the gas purchase with whichever credit card you prefer, select one that rewards you for gas purchases. Fortunately, several cards are great to use at gas stations!

For example, the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card earns 3 points per dollar spent at gas stations and EV charging stations, restaurants, supermarkets, on air travel, and at hotels.

If you prefer cash-back cards, you’re spoiled for choice. The Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express earns 3% cash-back on purchases made at eligible U.S. gas stations without a cap. (Cash Back is received in the form of Reward Dollars that can be redeemed as a statement credit and at Amazon.com checkout.)

If you have a small business, the American Express® Business Gold Card offers 4x Membership Rewards points on the top 2 categories in which your business spends the most every billing cycle (up to $150,000 in combined purchases every calendar year, then 1x points). These categories include U.S. purchases at gas stations.
