“We have now announced more than 30 new routes next summer — more than any other legacy airline — to help better connect customers to the world. From the glaciers of Alaska to the thermal baths of Budapest, and now to the beauty of the Mountain West and the beaches of the Southeast, there’s plenty to discover no matter how you travel with American,” said Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning.

Hot Tip:

These new New York (LGA) routes are great for quick weekend trips to Savannah, Myrtle Beach, or Jacksonville. And if you’d rather head west, New York (JFK) to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, offers a rare nonstop escape to Wyoming’s mountain scenery.

With even more flights lined up for 2026, American Airlines is clearly doubling down on destinations that make travel easier — and more fun. From mountain escapes out West to sunny stretches of coastline and even new international getaways, the airline’s latest expansion gives travelers plenty of fresh ways to plan the kind of trip they actually want next summer.
