There’s a new Centurion Lounge coming to town … well, to Salt Lake City.

American Express has chosen Utah’s capital as the next location for its exclusive lounge, and it’s slated to open its doors in 2025.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Centurion Lounge to The New SLC International Airport,” said Bill Wyatt, executive director at Salt Lake City International Airport.

Let’s take a look at what’s in store.

Salt Lake City’s New Centurion Lounge

When the lounge opens sometime in 2025, Salt Lake City (SLC) will be the 15th Centurion Lounge location in the U.S.

It will be located in the airport’s new Concourse B and is part of the fourth phase of The New SLC Airport Redevelopment program.

The space promises to offer eligible passengers everything they need to feel refreshed and recharged before boarding their flight.

Hot Tip:

To be eligible for entry into a Centurion Lounge on your next airport visit, you’ll need to be the owner of one of these credit cards. If you’re based in Salt Lake City, the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card could be a good option, as the airport is a hub for Delta Air Lines. The Delta Reserve card offers complimentary access to Amex Centurion lounges when booking your Delta flight with the card.

“The new Centurion Lounge will give eligible Card Members a taste of what this beautiful destination has to offer and feature premium amenities for all types of travelers,” said Audrey Henley, president at American Express Travel.

Highlights to look forward to include:

  • Nearly 16,000 square feet of space
  • An temperature-controlled outside terrace with views of aircraft and the Wasatch Mountains
  • All-day food by an award-winning, Resy Chef
  • Proper barista coffee for that pre-flight espresso or cold brew hit
  • 2 bars with cocktails that take inspiration from the local area and wines selected by Anthony Giglio, the wine director and sommelier for Centurion Lounges
  • A dedicated wellness area (more details to come)

“Guests will enjoy what promises to be an inviting atmosphere to relax and refresh during their journey,” said Wyatt. “We’re excited to work with American Express to bring this never-before-seen offering at SLC to life.”

Final Thoughts

If you’re based in Salt Lake City or pass through the airport frequently, then the new Centurion Lounge will likely be very welcome news.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we have more details about the space, including a more specific opening date.
