Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

There’s a new, limited-time 10% bonus when you transfer Amex Membership Rewards points to JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program. We’re always on the lookout for ways to get more value from our points and miles, and transfer bonuses are a great way to do just that.

Here are all the details of this new Amex transfer bonus, along with whether we think it’s worth using your points this way.

10% Transfer Bonus From Amex to JetBlue

Typically, American Express Membership Rewards points transfer to JetBlue TrueBlue at a 5:4 ratio. However, with this limited-time 10% transfer bonus through May 11, you’ll get a bit more value when moving your points.

That means for every 1,000 Membership Rewards points you transfer, you’ll receive 880 JetBlue TrueBlue points. Typically, you would get just 800 TrueBlue points when transferring 1,000 Amex points.

This transfer bonus is applied automatically, so there’s no need to register in advance. You can transfer in increments starting at 250 points, up to the program’s maximum limits. This can be especially useful if you’re just short of an award. Since 250 points is the minimum transfer amount, this bonus can help you top off your account with fewer points than you’d normally need.

Bottom Line:

Through May 11, 2026, you’ll get a 10% bonus when you transfer American Express Membership Rewards to your JetBlue TrueBlue account.

Is It Worth It?

In most cases, this is not a great use of your points.

We value American Express Membership Rewards points at around 2.2 cents apiece and JetBlue TrueBlue points at about 1.3 cents each. Even with the 10% transfer bonus, you’re still getting less value on the other side. Using those numbers, the 1,000 Amex points are worth $22, but you’re trading them for 880 JetBlue points that are only worth $11.44.

That said, there are some situations where it can make sense. If you’re just a few points short of a JetBlue redemption and need to top off your account, this bonus can help you get there with fewer Membership Rewards points. Outside of that, you’re generally better off saving your Amex points for higher-value uses of your Amex points.

Final Thoughts

This 10% transfer bonus from Amex to JetBlue adds a little extra value, but it doesn’t overcome the weak 5:4 baseline ratio. In most cases, it won’t make sense to transfer.

The exception? If you’re very close to a redemption, it can be a useful way to top off your JetBlue TrueBlue balance.
